Worksite-specific safety policies and procedures are designed to protect employees but just as importantly, they demonstrate management’s commitment to safety and health. We have developed three new templates that will guide you through the development and implementation of an Electrical Safety Program outline that complies with NFPA 70E 2024, an Electrical Maintenance Program outline that complies with NFPA 70B 2023. These two outlines will help you in creating your 70E and 70B programs. Then, the Enclosed Space policy that complies with the OSHA’s 1910.269, Electric Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution regulation.
Finally, it’s important to remember that safety policies and procedures must be kept current and reflect actual work practices. To ensure that your programs meet this requirement, they must be reviewed by qualified personnel at least annually and if an incident occurs.
