The Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU) is proud to announce that Margret Meade, Safety Outreach Coordinator, has recently been appointed to the Iowa Occupational Safety and Health Advisory (IOSHA) Council.
Since joining IAMU in 2012, Margret has been a cornerstone of the organization’s safety training and awareness initiatives. She serves as a key resource for IAMU’s safety staff, its members and many private companies, responding to OSHA-related questions, inspections, and consultations. Her passion for advancing health and safety standards is evident throughout a career that bridges both private industry and public service.
Margret has served in leadership and advocacy roles with the Hawkeye Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and the Iowa Women in Safety project. She has mentored aspiring safety specialists, helped advance the profession statewide, and made many contributions to OSHA at the state and federal levels.
Her expertise, knowledge, and mentorship have helped many go home safely at the end of the day, and we congratulate her on her appointment to the IOSHA Council!
