Community and non-transient, non-community public water supplies (PWSs) were required by the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) to submit a service line inventory to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources by October 16th, 2024. All original inventories were submitted by emailing a spreadsheet template to IDNR or uploading the spreadsheet to the IDWDP.
A new Service Line Inventory Manager feature has been added to IDWDP and PWSs can now update their inventories directly online.
Download a user guide with instructions on how to use IDWDP to upload and maintain a service line inventory with these new features.
A video demonstration has been added to the Lead & Service Line Inventories webpage under the "Iowa DNR Service Line Inventory Online Submission" accordion tab of the "Service Line Inventory Resources for Public Water Supply Systems" page section.
Development of additional features to assist inventory submission and tracking for the upcoming Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI) is in progress.
