The IAMU Energy Conference October 1-2 in Des Moines is rapidly approaching, and so is the deadline for you to nominate a customer or customers for the IAMU Customer Recognition Awards. Do you have a customer that's shown leadership in energy efficiency or renewable energy? The Customer Recognition Award is a great way to say "thank you"! Based upon your nominations, IAMU will select up to five customers, state-wide, to be recognized for this award.

IAMU Energy Services Director Anne Kimber has been named Executive Director of the Electric Power Research Center (EPRC) at Iowa State University. Although Kimber will begin her new duties at ISU soon, she'll also continue working with some projects at IAMU.
When was the last time you were plagued by too much free legal advice? Never would probably be a fairly universal response. Ken Weber takes the reins as HMU CEO on October first. Currently a resident of Avoca, Iowa, but expected to move to Harlan by April 1, 2015, Weber has been involved in a wide variety of utility related construction projects for over 33 years.

Cedar Falls Utilities has been recognized as an "Employer of Choice" in an article published recently in the Cedar Valley Business Monthly Online. CFU was nominated by employee Paul Krukow, who told the newspaper “CFU has cultivated a culture that goes beyond just a job and paycheck. The culture here is about serving our community and the families that live in it.”
