IAMU represents its members before the Iowa Legislatures, administers mutual aid programs, offers job training and safety programs, co-sponsors the Iowa Public Agency Investment Trust, and sponsors the Safety Group Insurance Program.
Position Purpose
The IT Specialist will provide day-to-day support for our technology environment.
Hybrid schedule after 90 days.

Job Functions
- Install desktop, laptop and tablets using standard procedures
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop and tablet issues
- Install software and troubleshoot software issues
- Support devices including cell phones, desk phones, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, audiovisual equipment
- Manage security system, alarms and keys
- Maintain inventory of all equipment and assist with ordering equipment
- Develop and document IT related processes
- Provide technical assistance with IAMU website
- Partner with IT service provider
- Work with vendors, software providers and manufacturers
- Assist with IT budget
Knowledge Requirements
- Associates degree in computer science, management information systems or other technology related fields is required.
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in help desk role or IT Specialist position
- Experience providing technical support to non-technical employees
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
