The overall goals of the course include providing attendees with an understanding of how and where VFDs can save energy, where VFDs can improve process control within a facility, and how to spot these energy saving and process control opportunities as well as understand the many and varied issues that must be addressed when using VFDs in new or retrofit applications. A detailed overview of the advantages and disadvantages of drives will provide attendees with a general understanding of where VFDs make operational, energy efficiency and economic sense and where they may have limitations in fan and pump systems. A full agenda can be found here.
