CALEA is a nonprofit organization that develops standards for professional excellence in public safety agencies and recognizes agencies meeting these standards. Under EMC’s program, law enforcement agencies that have achieved and maintained either CALEA recognition or CALEA law enforcement accreditation are eligible for a premium credit of 10%.
To assist law enforcement agencies in meeting the CALEA standards, EMC partners with Lexipol Law Enforcement, the leading provider of policy management resources for law enforcement. Lexipol provides state-specific law enforcement policy manuals written by legal and public safety professionals, assists in implementation of the manuals and provides daily training exercises.
