Public Power Social Media Content Ideas for November

To help raise awareness of public power in your community, the American Public Power Association (APPA) encourages public power utilities to join the APPA and other public power utilities across the country in sharing public education resources in November. APPA has listed some helpful resources below that you can use in your social media posts, newsletters, and other customer communications. Use the hashtags listed below the resources as well as #PublicPower. You can also simply repost/retweet/share every day from the APPA’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Through Nov. 30, encourage your followers to use their public Instagram or Twitter account to share a photo or video about why they think it's great to be #CommunityPowered (don't forget the hashtag!). Weekly prizes include a toaster oven, an ionic hair dryer, an LED snowman, a Wi-Fi Smart Color Programmable Thermostat, and more!
