2. On-line processing using a credit card:  Renew using a credit card on our IDNR Operator Certification On-line Database and have the renewal processed that same day.

Please note: If the IDNR does not have the required continuing education on file for you, then you will NOT be able to use this method.  Call us immediately to get your continuing education registered.

D. Click on the APPLICATIONS Tab under your Operator Details.  You will then see your active Renewal Application and you are ready to make payment.
E. Choose “Pay for Certificate/Renewal Fees” under APPLY/REGISTER-LOGIN REQUIRED from the menu on the left.
F. Upon completion of payment you will be able to see on the Certificates Tab that you have been renewed.  Your label and wallet card will be mailed out in the next two business days.

Remember, renewal paperwork:

1. Must be postmarked or processed on-line by June 30, 2015.
2. Must include the appropriate fee.

If you are not renewing, please send your paperwork back indicating you wish to terminate your certification.

Continuing Education Renewal Requirements:

When you receive your Renewal Application in the mail, check the attached "Continuing Education (CEU) Status Report" to see if the CEUs on record at IDNR equals the CEUs required for each certificate.  If you earned CEUs that are not listed on the renewal form, attach a copy of the CEU certificate when you return the completed form to IDNR.  Indicate if the missing CEU is for water or wastewater credit.

If you did not earn enough CEUs, your certificate will expire on June 30, 2015.  In order to recertify you will be required to retest.  The retesting process requires you to complete an exam application and meet all current eligibility requirements.

For renewal on June 30, 2015, you are required to earn the amount of CEUs required by the certificate(s) you held on April 1, 2013.  If you are not required to earn CEUs this renewal period, you still must send in the completed paperwork with the appropriate fee.

Downgrading Your Certificate Grade:

If you wish to downgrade a certificate, it can only be done at renewal period.  Indicate on the renewal form if you wish to downgrade.  Remember, if you downgrade now, you must retest to upgrade your certificate later.

Please contact the operator certification program with any questions at 515-725-0284 or laurie.sharp@dnr.iowa.gov.
