When you receive your Renewal Application in the mail, check the attached "Continuing Education (CEU) Status Report" to see if the CEUs on record at IDNR equals the CEUs required for each certificate. If you earned CEUs that are not listed on the renewal form, attach a copy of the CEU certificate when you return the completed form to IDNR. Indicate if the missing CEU is for water or wastewater credit.
If you did not earn enough CEUs, your certificate will expire on June 30, 2015. In order to recertify you will be required to retest. The retesting process requires you to complete an exam application and meet all current eligibility requirements.
For renewal on June 30, 2015, you are required to earn the amount of CEUs required by the certificate(s) you held on April 1, 2013. If you are not required to earn CEUs this renewal period, you still must send in the completed paperwork with the appropriate fee.
Downgrading Your Certificate Grade:
If you wish to downgrade a certificate, it can only be done at renewal period. Indicate on the renewal form if you wish to downgrade. Remember, if you downgrade now, you must retest to upgrade your certificate later.
