Several hundred customers of Sioux Center Municipal Utilities joined utility staff to celebrate Public Power and Public Natural Gas week. The Customer Appreciation Barbeque, held on October 8th, was attended by approximately 800 citzens.
All city and utility staff, and the mayor and city council, served up pork burgers, beef burgers, baked beans, chips and an ice cream bar during the evening event. Also included in the celebration were prize drawings for a 42” L.G. color TV and a Webber Gas Grill, and each customer who attended received a utility gift of an umbrella.
