Spencer Municipal Utilities (SMU) was awarded the Small Company 2015 Corporate Cup from Live Healthy Iowa. SMU teams had over 66% participation and over 89% completion in the program from participants. 42 SMU employees and spouses participated on 5 teams in the 2015 Live Healthy Iowa Challenge.
“We’re thrilled to have so much staff participation! As a Blue Zones worksite, we strive to provide healthy alternatives to employees and participating in a challenge like Live Healthy is just one of those options for employees,” says Amanda Gloyd, SMU marketing & community relations manager.
The SMU wellness committee did a great job coming up with various contests throughout the challenge to keep participants motivated and to give them some extra incentives throughout the challenge.
